All Village of Wales Residents vote at the Wales Community Building, 216 W. South Street. Polls are open on Election Days from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Garbage is collected weekly on Wednesdays and Recycling is picked up every other week. The calendar can be found on the Village’s website under the Community Tab.

A burning permit is not required in the Village of Wales, but we do regulate it. A copy of the ordinance can be found here!
Licenses are due no later than April 1 of each year. The license fee for dogs that are not neutered or spayed is $15.00 and $11.00 for dogs that are neutered or spayed. A $5.00 late fee is assessed after March 31st. Proof of rabies vaccination must be presented.

Yes, but it must be 6 feet away from the road and you can have asphalt between the road and the concrete. For more requirements see Driveways.
Yes, you can try to locate one at the Village Hall or at the Waukesha County Register of Deeds. These entities only have a copy of the survey if one was furnished at the time the home was built. If you have a copy and it shows "proposed" - this will not be accepted - a copy showing the "as built" is what we would determine the measurements from.
Yes. Any plumbing work, HVAC, electrical, or overall building structural changes or floor plan changes require a permit. If you are not sure, please contact our building inspector.
